  • As time is going on I am really getting stressed out with what that dang Stress Test showed But then again I still think that if it was something major I would already be in the Hospital having the Angioplasty, but I have been taking notices that I do get short of breath lately but I just don't know if it  is me or if there is really something going on, And of course the Wife flipped out on me yesterday for going on a 10 mile bike ride I just hate sitting around that is just not me and I hate it I always have be be doing something either going over to the fitness room or going for a bike ride But today I did what the Wife said in a way all I did today was go to the fitness room and ride the Cadio Bike for a 30 mint program and the cardia bike said that I did 6.50 miles so I can live with that for today now for the next 2 days I'll do nothing scene the Wife will be off of work and she is watching me like a hawk ha ha

  • Here we go again, I had a stress test the other day and I though that I was doing real well with all of the workouts and the bike ridding and everything, Well to my disapointment I failed the dang stress test and now I have to go and see the Doctor who does my Angioplasties so I guess I am in store for another angioplasty at lest I hope that is all I have to do, and that it isn't nothing worst,

                               We've been getting ready for the next display as far as plaining where we want everything so on Nov the 1st we'll be tearing down the fall display and getting ready for the Chriastmas display, My Wife really enjoys doing these things and now we have another outdoor outlet the Buldg Manager put it in the other day and I went out and got another timer for the other side so it is going to be a lot easier as far as the elec goes and for all of the hook up's and he also put a few screws in the one part of the wall where we are going to hang our count down to Christmas clock which I will post a picture of it as soon as I take one the Wife is after me to take a picture and print it for her so she can show the people at work who are bothering her to see it so I guess I'll so that sometime today.   • After my workout today I was on my way out the door and to my supprise there was a note on the door for me to stop at one of my neighbor's apt so that is what I did and they asked me if I would make them a DVD from a CD file that they have it had something like 720 pitctures on it but I have to say that when they made this cd they have had everything numbered and everything in order, So all I had to do was set up the program and then transfer the pictures from the cd to the dvd all in all it took me about 2 1/2 hours to do this for them, When ever I took the cd and the dvd's up to them they said what do I owe you and they just could'nt get over it when I told them that friend's don't charge friends for helping them out and just seeing how much they enjoy these dvd's is payment enough. I have to go and have my yearly heart testing tomorrow that is a Stress Test Doppler and a Echo Cardiogram I sure hope that all of these working out that I have been doing is at least helping the old heart I know that I do have a bad vale but if I can just stay in the condition that I am in right now I'll be very happy,

                                     We are starting to plain for our Christmas display see what and how and where we want what and how the placement will be so I know it is kind of early but that is why our displays look so good because we pre plain and that way we only have to take the platfoms and put them where we want them

                        

  • We took our daughter to the airport the other day her leave with us is over man does the time go fast when the kids are home, and with me it is hard because I am use to having her here, and when she goes back it is like I get lonely scene the wife is at work during the day and of course I am here by myself, it usuallys takes about a week to get use to being home alone again, But I do go to the fitness room and of course when I don't workout I take the bike for a ride Like today I went down down to Nanty Glo and back, that is about a 14 mile ride round trip, and on a nice day like today it is a very enjoyable trip but of course I do stop on the way back just about every 2 miles for a drink and sit for a while on the benches on the trail and of course there are a lot of older people like me out and about on the trail, It seems like when the kids are in school us Old Farts take over the trail, and man the scenery is very beautiful, with the tree's changing color and everything, Well got to go so enjoy the nice weather and as always God Bless and see you next time

  • We've been busy again today getting the porch all fixed up for the fall display, and I have to say that man it has done a number on me My back is really hurting tonight and with the weather change and the rain that really don't help any but anyway here are a few pictures of what it looks like now I hope that you all enjoy them It seems like the server for the photo's is down right now so I'll have to add them later

  • My daughter is in on Leave and man are we having the time of our life, one of the things we have done is Ride the Ghost town trail from Ebensburg to Nanty Glo that is about 14 or 15 miles round trip and to my supprise I think that I did pretty good and the way my daughter was taling she said that once I got going it seemed like I got into a cadences and away I went I normally get a song in my head and peddle to the song But I have to say that I did really enjoy that ride and I am looking forward to it again I don't know if she will joint me but now that I have done it I know that I can do it again by myself, and besides it is a great way to stay in shape, I have done a workout on Saturday and noticed that the building manager got one of the machines fixed for me it is called a power rider someone broke the handle that is needed to work the machine so he had to get it rewelded to which he did and in fact it is better then brad new it is level where before it wasn't so needless to say I really enjoyed seeing that one is fixed and ready to go, they had 2 of them in the fitness room but the other one I really don't care for, that one is a real back killer where the other one that was broke was a little bit better and what they call more forgiving, But anyway that is what we've been doing lately

  • Woow what a summer here it is already Labor Day and with that is known as the end of Summer, All of our schools go back on Tuesday execpt our local school these poor guy's already went back last week, Man where did the summer go I still hope to get the one ride in on the trail this fall and that is the one that we go from Myersdale to Frostburg Md, But the way it looks that just isn't going to happen, the fellow that rides with me really isn't doing to well in that respect as doing a long bike ride But with me I'm ready I don't let my body tell me what to do I get it from my kids to work threw the pain and like Larry the cable Guy say's Get R Done that saying is kind of funny But truth be known you have to push on and keep yourself moving or your just as miles just roll up in a nice little ball and die, I have had a lot of health trouble but I don't use it as a cruch I keep moving on for my wife and my kids and I try to stay healthy for them plus myself in all works hand in hand,

                                 I have been ridding here in my own home town on the Ghost Town Trail the way that I do it  the ride comes out to about 10 miles a day it really isn't that much but at least it is a little something to at least keep me moving but of course if I am not ridding I am in the fitness room doing a little workout there so no matter how you look at it I am staying active and that is the main thing I have a neighbor and you know he goes golfing every week day and he look's like he is in his earily 60's and he just told me the other day he is around 85 yr's old man to be in that shape went I am in my 60's would be good. But it is the same thing that he say's you have to stay active and that is what keeps you in some type of shape

                                      Well enought of that for now I guess I have board you all enough for one night so untill next time have a very safe labor day Oh by the way the Wife and I have already set the porch up for the fall season Here are a few pictures of what we did

  • Well I took my usually ride this mooring and added a little bit more so now it is 10 miles instead of 8.50 miles and you know I do feel better after all in the fitness room on the carido Bike I do about 12 miles at different rates of speed so 10 miles on a regural bike isn't too bad, You would just not believe how many people are on the trail at 0830 hrs I have seen people walking their dogs and one young lady had a sht Zue just like our little dog that we had to put down it was the very way that our little one looked at 6 months old so I had to stop and talk to this young lady and I told her how her little one looked like our's and of course how long our had lived and she was supprised to find out if you take real good care of them that they would live about 15 years of age, and I must say that it was a very good 15 years she was with out a doubt the best friend that this family ever had in fact she wasn't a pet she was in fact a member of the family.

  • I did my favorit workout that is a 2 hour workout after that I came back and then took a shower then I decided to go for a 9 mile bike ride, it turns out that I have altogether did about 22 miles between the fitness room bike and the 9 mile bike ride on the trail,

    So all in all this working out and bike ridding is suppose to be helping me with this dam heart condition so we'll see when I go for the heart test in Oct that will tell the tell but al in all I do like staying fit even tho some of my buddies say that I do a little bit too much but I don't care I enjoy doing what I want to do and this is part of it,

  • I haven't been doing too much lately, the fellow that goes bike riding with me isn't feeling too good lately so I have been going down to our trail that is about 1/2 a block away and doing my miles down there but not like I was doing on the Allegheny Passage now all I do is about 8 miles but 4 of thoes miles are going all up hill so it is kind of a little bit harder, I saw one of my neighbor's down on the trail the other day and man I was a little bit supprised with her, I knew that her elevavator didn't go to the top floor but man this was a very bad day to find this out, Let's set it up for you all, I was about 2 1/2 miles down the trail form the trail head and the temp was like 89 deg's with high humidy and there she was with no water with her, I get hell from not one of the kids but both of them they tell me no matter how far you go on that bike you always , always have water with you and this is what I told her when I saw her here at the Apt Building, You should always have water with you because if you should get hurt and have to wait for help you can at least drink and if someone has to go out and find you, You at least have some water with you and I also told her that if she should run into a storm she can get under one of the underpass's and stay dry and drink some water till the storm passes water is one of the most important things that you can carry I always carry a First Aid Kid and also a bottle of water and if I am going to be out for awhile I will also have my camel pack which also carries a litter of water so this way I have a litter and a pint of water with me and the way this summer has been with the humidy it is a good idea to practices this. But like my kids say you can teach a stupid dog new trick and I am really starting to believe that there are also some humans like that also,

                                    Beside's doing all this ridding I am also doing my workout's but of course the day that I do the workouts I don't do no ridding I don't want to over do it, No use over doing  a good thing the way it is now I am loosing the weight and feeling much better with what I am doing But we'll see when I go for the Stress Test in Oct that will tell the tell
