The Wife finally got her tattoo yesterday so now everyone in the family has one she got a very cuite one it is a little Teddy bear sitting on a heart with a name in the middle of it, So now she is complaining about some of the pain that comes with getting a tattoo like the old saying you have to earn a tattoo I know that the pain will cease by Friday and then it is all gravy, so to say, My Son and I took his truck to the gmc garage this mooring to get his brakes checked, He had them checked in Va and they said that they turned the rotors and to our supprise they lied about doing the work you see gmc marks the rotors a special way at the factory so the garages know if the rotors have been taken off the truck and guess what they wern't taken off the truck so how could they turn them, they are now repaired correctly we went to the garage that I use and I tuust they work on my two cars and I have never had any trouble with them and like I said they are very honest I think that it is a shame that a place will lie to get money I guess I have too much trust in people what is what my buddy says to me and now my Son also said the same thing, I guess that is the way i was brought up I guess the old say is the truth screw me once shame on you   screw me twice shame on me                                                                                                        

Well we did another weight in today, I just can't keep that darn weight at 195 I weight in at 198 today and that was after a workout I guess as long as it is under 200 lbs I would be happy even tho I would like to get it down to about 192 or even 190 i'll just keep doing them workout's and hope for the best, I would like to lose that little bit of a belly I have yet I have lost a lot of it already tho, But I do enjoy working out and all of the sweeting I at least feel like I am doing something I got to stay healthy for my Wife and my Kids after all they are my life God really bless me when he got me together with my wife and when she had the 2 children I knew that I was blessed they are the Best things that has ever could have happened to me,

                           I had to have 2 Angioplasties last year and both kids came for them My Son was there for the 1st one and my Daughter came in from Germany for the 2nd one and you know when them being there watching out for me made me feel safe and sound along with my Wife with the 3 of them there who needs the Marines I have them in my Family

Man we are going from one thing to another it has been so hot in this area with hight's in the hight 80's and low 90's and now today we had nothing but sever thunderstorms, in fact the first bad one hit this mooring when I was in the fitness room I had the window opened in this room till I saw one heck of a flash of lighting, and a hugh crack of thunder and that was enough to get me off the cardio bike and shut the window, and then keep going to get the hole workout done, in fact I took a shower in a storm it is just one of them things, the way that the weatherman is talking it is going to start drying out this weekend and then back into the heat again but then again it is summer, it is better then a hugh snowstorm that is for sure. the Pittsburgh News channel said that they are having flooding down there and they have infact put pictures on their website they got hit really bad in fact they even had building blow apart from the wind this is one storm that will be remembered for a good while I just hope that no one got killed or hurt, that is the main thing buildings can be replaced but a life can not

You know when our Sister-inlaw moved she got her daughter a job at one of the local fast food places and wouldn't  you know evertime this kid can't get a hold of her mother she calls us for a ride home the last time the Wife went to pick her up and her parents were already there, I keep telling the Wife to let the answering machine get it, we really can't afford the gas it takes to get her home either this is a run that really is none of our affair, How is this kid going to learn to wait for her parents if we are always running after her. after all her parents get all of the attechtion so let us the Hell Alone stand on your own two feet for a change and Grow Up, When our kids had a job we never bothered no one else to get them at work and bring them home we did everything on our own, if you want your kid to work it is your responsible to take care of them no one else should have to.

Today is a very special day for my Wife and I Today is our 27th year Anniversary to think about how many year we been married it just don't seem that long in fact it seems just like yesterday, When you think long and hard it is a life time and that is a real good life time at that. My Daughter asked me the other day why did we have children? to which I told her that is the reason that we got married if we didn't want children all we had to do is just live together,

Well here we are at the end of July already, man did the month go pretty fast, I haven't been doing to much the past few days On Friday and Saturday I was going up town this was our town's Homecoming Weekend so there was a lot to do and a lot of things to see, I was kind of proud of myself tho I walked up one of our steepest hills and didn't even get out of breath so I guess all the workouts that I have been doing have been doing something,

  On Sunday till today I did my daily workouts so tomorrow I'll be taking the day off scene the Wife will be doing washing and when she hangs stuff in the shower I don't do no workout I find it better that way it keeps peace in the home because when she gets a little mad it is time to get out of Dodge if you know what I mean, Man have we be getting some rather warm weather this past few days today it has been in the 80 deg's range and now they are saying the humity is on it's way back in and that just makes it tough on all of us I have a feeling that next month is going to be a hot one, Thank heavens for Air conditioning at least it makes it a little bearable to say the least,

        I'm wating to hear from my Son on how he did with his testing for Air Assult I sure hope he makes it if that is what he wants to do I have found that no matter what your kids want to do the best thing for a parent to do is be there to support them and back them up 100 % that is all our children want is to make us proud of them, and I have to say truthfully that my kids have never let me down no matter what they do they have always made me proud of them.

We made it down for another ride on the Allegheny Passage, this time we went form Ohiopyle to Confulence and yep we got caught in one heck of a thunderstorm with hail and everything else this is the first time that I would have needed a winter coat if I would have had one, in the one part of the trail on the way back after the storm a hugh tree fell across the trail we had to lift the bikes over the tree no way to go around it, here are some pictures of the ride that day and as usually it was a great ride even tho it did rain any day you can get out on them rails to trails is a good day

We finally made it down to the Pow Woo this year to our supprise we found out that it has been going on for about 10 years, all of the other years the Wife and I were working and were unable to make it down to it, You know it  is a shame that thoes of us who either do and has worked in the health care places don't get very few week ends off and or Hoildays off so we really miss out on a lot, I know that these sick people have to be taken care of but do you think the familes of thoes people who are in Nursing Homes would give their weekends and or Hoildays off to work and then they complain about the money that they have to pay these people who are taking care of their loved ones I must say that they People who work in either the Hospitals or Nursing Homes are in fact underpaid, and also miss out on a lot, Yes I myself did in fact work in a Nursing Home and before that I worked in a Hospital, I can remember when our kids were small we use to have to have Christmas on a different day because my Wife and I had to work on the Hoilday in fact one year we had it almost a week before the 25th of December, I really don't believe that the people who run these nursing homes and hospitals understand how hard it is on the families of their workers

But anyway enought about that I hope that I can load up one of the video's that I shot down at the Pow Woo Well I tried to get the video up and running but it didn't work But I do have some pictures that I will post, needless to say we really did have a great time, so lets see if I can get these pictures up and running

Our local television station had on this evening about the 3rd Johnstown Flood you know this does bring back some bad memories reliving it, Yes I was there, i was living in Moxhan at the time that is a small subur of Johnstown and also it is in the City, The night that it happened I got called out by the Fire Dept that I was with to do some pumping out of cellers that the water went into, We didn't even know what was going on that night when we responded to the call for the celler needing pumped out till about 1/2 of doing this job we were told to leave the pump and respond back to the station for another call, I still can remember the way it was raining and the lighting man was it bad I have never seen lighting like that night it just lit up the whole area, and the truth beknown I think that a lot of people thought it was the END OF THE WORLD that is what it seemed like it was really scarey to say the least, Well anyway like I said I was with the fire dept and my parents were on what is called low ground it took me 3 days to get back home to check on them the police wouldn't let us go threw this area and of course the telephones and power was out, Even tho I had a pick up truck at the time it wasn't a 4x4 one of my brother fire fighters got got me into the area with his 4x4 to make sure that they were alright, I finally did get back home after 4 1/2 day But you know I still can't believe that if we would have lived 2 blocks higher in that area the flood would have missed us all together, that is how the water went, We lost all of our clothers that were drying in the celler ( My Mother did a load of wash the day befor the flood and that is where she hung them to dry) My Father lost his car and I lost a motorcycle but at least we were very lucky at lest we all had our lives and like I have said so many times in my writtings if you have you family you have it all

I had just finished reading the book Lee's Real Plan At Gettysburg by Troy Harmon and I really think that he hit the mark! Cemetery Hill was the key no doubt about it, this place controlled everything the roads that is all of the major routes go threw this area and as far as troop movement and of course supplies lines this is the place to be, i have to say that this is one great book and it does give the reader new insight into the Gettysburg campaign, and it really gets you to think, In a way I think that there was a lot of error's going on that is why General Lee did not prevail, When one of his General's got shot in and around the Peach Orchard he had some of his COL: take over and they didn't even have a clue to what General Lee had planed for the 3rd days battle, I believe that if everyone would have been on the same page General Lee would have won the 3rd's battle some people seen to think that on the 3rd day he came up with a new battle plan but in his report's he stated the main objectived was the same as in the second days battle
