We have been watching a family of little birds here next to our porch they are really interesting to watch, it is amazing how the mother and father bird take care of their young I have a few pictures of how the mother is taking care of the little ones I hope you enjoy them as we do I have shot some video of the nest but it is in the wrong format to show on this site

We're still doing our daily workout and of course today being Friday it is the weight in day and today to my suprise I weight in at 197 lbs a 2 lb weight lost so I can't complain about a 2 lb weight lost in a week I just hope that I can keep the weight off. I am very happy about my weight now it is a heck of a lot better then 220 lb's a year and 1/2 ago and I have to say that I do feel a heck of a lot better but now for the big question how is it going to affect the stress test, all this working out has to be helping at least I sure hope so, I sure don't want to have angioplasty number 8 I think that 7 angioplasties and 2 stents after an dubble bypass is enought I have to stay healthy for my wife and the 2 kids after all they are my life and that is what I am living for I have really been bless the Good Lord has really blessed me with getting the Cream Of the Crop in finding the wife I have and the Good Lord Gave me 2 Of the Most Greatest Kids a Parent could want they both are very giving to other's and are always willing to help their fellow man, and whenever you are in need they are only a telephone call away and before you know it they are on a plane on the way home to see what is a matter, The Heart Doctor's I have in a way hate to see the Wife Coming because she ask them a whole lot of question What is funny the last 2 stent's that I got one in Jan of 2005 My Son was in and he gave them the buniness and then I had to have another stent in Oct of the same year and my Daughter was in for that one and her and the wife gave them the 3rd degree ha ha so like I said I am in good hands with the Family that I have and like I have said before I am very blessed .

I know that it has been a little while scene I wrote in here but not a hole lot has been going on We went to the Allegheny Passage on Sunday this time we rode from a place called Conflunces to Markleton this was just about a 20 mile ride, it wasn't too bad we had to ride around one of the tunnels that is still closed down and the way that it looks I really don't think that they are going to get it fixed up to ride threw we had to ride around it and that was worst then anything the trip around it was about 2 miles around on a old logging rode and needless to say it just isn't like going on a old hard packed rail bed . But all in all it was a real nice ride, I have a few pictures of the trail I guess the next part of the trail that we will be doing is the Ohiopile thing I guess we went there looking for the trail head and man the people that were there I never though that it was that big of a place all I though that it was a State Park well it is not the whole town is part of that place it is like a resort man was I supprised

We had another hot one today, it went up to 90 deg out thenk heavens we have Central Air and man could you tell it when ever you went outside, We went to J-town today and man after all of the runing around and everything when we got out of the car ( and yes we ran the air in the car also) and came into the apt man could you tell the differents I have the Air Conditioning set at 75 deg's and coming in from 90 deg's it was really cool then I decided to go out on the porch to do a little reading I only stayed out there for about 5 mints and couldn't take it anymore so needless to say I came in and did the reading in here where it was nice and cool ha ha

                   I found one of the books that I was looking for so tomorrow the Wife and I are going to Altoona and I'll check out the two books store's there for the other books that I am look for the one I got today was Philandelphia Ghost Stories, just about 4 more to get and then I have all of the books on Pennyslvania then I guess I'll have to read about this stuff that is near Pa ha ha

Well we had a sleepless night again,you know there are just times that I just can't get to sleep, But that is OK I'll be willing to bet that I should be tired enough to sleep tonight, I think that all these sleepless nights come form all them years of 11pm to 7am like 21 years of it, I have to admit those when I first retired I would get wide awake in the middle of the night and man would I get hungry because that middle of the night for normal people would be the middle of the day for thoes of us who work the night shift, So at least I finally got passed that, and another thing that does help with the sleeping is reading a book before going to bed and yes of course I haven't been doing that lately so that is another thing that I'll do tonight,

      I guess that I'll go over about 0800hrs this mooring and get my workout done at least this way I'll be done by at least 010:30      I normally do a 2 hour workout and man do I feel better when I do that type of work out         Well the way the weather man is saying it is a real warm mooring out he said that we are in the higher 50's to the mid 60's but then again I have found out that you really can't trust our local weather station due to the fact that they cover so much area like a 10 county area and no matter what they are sure to get the weather right because they give a 10 deg differents and being truthful I can do that good myself

I made it to the Bike Shop today and got the small rack straps that I needed for the Navigator 200 so now the racks looks alike it was a good thing that the navigator 100 had a rack on it so I could see how it was done, whenever you have a rack on a bike it has to be level in order to carry the bike bags and of course my saddle bags, But anyway it is finally finished and I think it will do real well i am in the planing process of another ride either to The Lower Trail in Altoona or maybe back to get another chunck of the Allegheny Passage in Somerset either way it is getting out and riding.

                            I had to get another set of bike tools the type that you would carry in your bike bags because I though I lost the one one part of the set I had I looked all over for the darn thing and just couldn't find it no where I went back to check both lockers that we have well my son and I have and to no avail, It bother me so much that I was thinking what would happen if they Bldg Manager would hit it with the lawn mower and that kind of worried me a little bit well anyway I looked in the back seat area again and right beside the bolt for the seat belt there it was I know that I looked there before and didn't see it so I guess the Grummets had it so what can you do But at least I got it and fixed it all up and now I have 2 sets but I have to say that the second set that I bought is a better set it has stuff to fix a flat tire and a lot of other stuff in it also so that will work and I am happy about that,.

                         I had to go to the Cell Phone company today for my Son and handle so business for him with his cell phone and change his cell phone plan to give him a little bit more air time and also text messageing he got hit with a $500.00 cell phone bill and that finally got his attention , so when you get a bill like that It would get Your Attention it is time for a New Plan because the one you have is not working for you so that is another thing that we had to do, so it was a pretty busy day but we got a lot done.

Well I know that it has been a few days scene I wrote anything in here, I changed the bike racks around a little bit, I took the rack off the giant and put it on the Treck I noticed that the last time I had the treck out that the bags really didn't set right on it and that is when I decided to put the other rack on it the one thing that I will have to do is when I take it down for it's check I will have them put a small piece on the rack to make it straight on the bike that way it will be like the other treck, so The Wife's bike will be just like my bike is, I have to say that I do think that the New Bike is going to work out pretty good, but like I said I won't know what it will do till I do get it out on a long ride to either the Lower Trail or the Allegheny Passage Trail and take a long ride on it and then I'll know how it will do but like I said it is just like the other bike and that bike does real well on the trails, But the reason that I haven't been out riding too much this week is because of the heat but now that we are suppose to cool off a little bit maybe I'll get to go now again and that is one thing that I really look forward to But I have been doing daily workouts in the fitness room and that room isn't Air condition either but it is close to the apt and when I finished I come back to the apartment and back into the air conditioning.

We went to another new trail today, this one is only in Mineral Point, it is part of the Stapel Bend tunnel execpt this one is on the other side of the river, and another thing that makes this one bad is you have to park about 1/2 mile from the entrance to the other part of the trail, it starts out real well till you get around the cornor and see a hugh hill in front of you, Well we got about a 3rd of the way up the hill and just decided that it is just not worth it with the heat of the day and everything it just wasn't worth it, so we loaded up and heard for the James E Mayer Trail in downtown Johnstown, that trail is about 2 3/4 miles round trip so we rode that one once but man where we had to park The smell was just alful in fact it stunked my buddy called it pig weed because it does smell like a hugh pig and a lot of them for sure, but with all that goofying around it turns out that we rode about 6 miles not like either one of us are use to we normally do when we go riding we normally go about 25 to 36 miles on one of our rides, Like I have said so many times I do like that Allegheny Passage but it is so dang far away like anywhere from 80 to 120 miles away from here and with the gas prices be this high it is a little hard to get there for now but when the prices settle down a little we'll be going again, Hopefully it will still be summer,

This is going to be a lonaly day for me My Wife's 1st vacation is over, and it will be a few weeks till she is on vacation again, I got real use to her being home with me we ran every day she was off, On her next vacation I think that we'll go bike riding, on the trails around here because of the price of gas, I just can't believe that the price of gas has gone up so far so fast we had a $. 11 cent increst in one night, I don't know what you think but I think that some people are getting real rich off the backs of the poor and that is a damm shame,

                           But anyway we took the new bike back to the shop where we got it to get them to fix the handle bars I have to say that that bike shop is a real nice one and it really isn't that far it is only in Altoona which is only about 18 miles from Ebensburg Pa and their price's really are not that bad either. the shop is called Peddle Power and like I said they are real nice people to deal with, and go out of their way to get you what you want.

                         I took the new bike out the same day before we took it to the shop, and I have to say it is just like my bike, and rode just the same as my bike does and man is it nice to ride the gearing is real good and it has 3 more gears than I have on my bike, but I like them both, and the Wife rode it when we got the bars lifted and she said that she like the way that it handles not like the other bike she just had not enought of gears in the old bike, where this bike has 24 bikes gears and the old bike has 8 gears so that will make a big differences

                         We waiting for my son to come in for the Memorial Day Hoilday but he said that he can only stay for a day then he has to go back, so I don't know what he is doing he just might say there but if he does that I sure hope he calls to informe me of his plans that is a long drive for just one day

You know there is one thing that you never tell your wife but I had to, Last year we both decided to get into riding bikes on the trails, I got myself a Treck Navigator 100 and my Wife got herslelf a Gaint Suede and unfortionly her's only had 8 gears while my bike had the 21 gears needless to say the more gears you have the better and she was only after comfort at the time and she found out while the bike is real comforable yea but it is also a lot of work trying to get it to go up hills with very little gears to choose from,  Well believe it or not I was finally able to talk her into a little better bike I got her a Treck Navigator 200 and it was cheeper then the one I got for myself but at least she will be now able to keep up with us on the trails she wasn't too happy with the size my is a 16.5 and her's is a 14.5 but I told her if she wants a bigger bike she can ride my bike and I'll ride the new one in fact they are the same bike all I have to do is raise the handle bars the set is already set the bike store has done that for us I have rode this bike before we bought it scene I do most of the trails and know how they are to shift in gears and everything, and I have to say riding that bike is just like riding my bike, all I have to do is get a mirrow for it which I will get that on payday and then it is ready for the trails, I think that I am going to take it on every other trip to the trail even tho it will be a pain cleaning the both of them, I just got my bike washed and waxed and the chain lubed form the ride that I took it on the other week to the Allegheny Passage Trail in Somerset Pa, I really am not able to do a lot of things but riding a bike so far I can do and I really enjoy it, And Now I have another Buddy moving into the area this is going to be great My Wife and him and his family and of course me all riding the trail that is going to be fun, Like the old saying the Family that rides Together Stays Together, and besides it is a good Healthy Sport to get into .

Will write more from the trails later when we get them rode and tell you all which ones are good and which ones really don't measure up
