  • You know you're getting old when ever your relatives tell you that your hair is starting Gray, but then again I knew it was starting to change over after all I am in my mid 50s, and like most older people would tell you that they earned every gray hairs that they have.

We went looking today for a particular Christmas airblown that I seen on the Internet, according to Wal-Mart's website the stores were supposed to have it but of course they did it them whenever I went back to review the website it said in certain stores only so I did like anyone else would do I type in my zip code and it said no stores within 100 miles from my location has this particular airblown, which is really okay I have enough to decorate for Christmas the display which I will be putting out guys have six new items 5 of which I bought last year, and that will be replacing one of the ones that I have used last year that particular airblown we have been using for the past five years so I guess it's time to change that display a little bit, Getting ready for Friday I have to go and get a cardiac stress test my yearly thing that I have to do it every year to make sure that everything with the heart is working correctly, and that these stents that I have are not clogging up, and if everything turns out okay have to call an orthopedic surgeon to do rotator cuff repair on my left, it just seems like I could not get ahead this year if it's not one thing it was another, But that's life

I will close this entry down for now, so Take Care and is always God Bless

  • We did another ride today, This time it was from Fort Hill to Rockwood on the Great Alleghney Passage I just love this trail it is one of the best trails in the area too bad it is so far away like this time it was about 40 miles away the other ride was about 120 miles away so what can you do it is like ridding in a car for 120 miles to ride your bike 22 miles but in a way it is worth it ,

Here are some pictures of todays ride

  • We finally made it down to Frostburg Maryland to ride that part of the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail, and I have to say I really enjoyed it, The trail itself really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be what I mean by that is the mountain itself we had a ride up the mountain but the way they had planned its not bad at all it gives up an elevation a little bit then a plateaus off in a gives up an elevation again it is not a straight climb up, we really had a great time ridding that part of the trail, we rode from Frostburg Maryland up to the Continental divide all in all it came out to about 18 miles round-trip I have included some pictures of what we took yesterday didn't take that many, unfortunately the trees were not as brilliant and colors as they would've been, if we would have gotten the rain unfortunately they were low on rain also.

  • Why we're getting ready for tomorrow, my buddy and I are planning another bike trip, but this one is one is going to be approximately 100 miles away from here, we are headed to Frostburg Maryland, The way we have a plan is to ride from Frostburg Maryland to Big Savage Tunnel outside of Myersdale Pennsylvania, last year we have a ready rode most of the great Allegheny passage trial, I have to be truthful that trial is a very beautiful trail to ride and the people you meet on it are the most courteous and delightful people you would ever want to meet,

So after we get this part of the bike trail done at least for me, my buddy has already rode this part of the trail, as a team we would have already rode from Ohiople State Park to Frostburg Maryland, which for two old geezers isn't too bad, but we did ride it at different times in different parts of the trial, my partner likes to call it different chunks, but considering the physical capacities that both of us have this is not to bad, as I stated before in my entries I have a heart condition, along with a bad back and other assorted injuries, whereas my bike riding partner, also has a bad back and also several surgeries done on his neck, so that is why we took the trail at different times in different parts of the trial, we go as far as we can Go or until we start wearing out, then we turn around and head back to the car. But at least we are out there getting the exercise and enjoying the scenery, so like every other ride we take that we'll be taking the camera and with a little bit of luck within a couple of days I will be posting some beautiful spectacular pictures of the scenery, we have a ready rode like I stated above part of the trail leading up to big Savage Tunnel and them pitchers are also posted but this time were taken it from the other side of the tunnel, and in fact there is  another tunnel will be going through, that tunnel's name is Borden Tunnel the difference between the two tunnels one has lights in it and the other one does not, the Borden Tunnel is unlit I have a ready put my bike light on the bike for tomorrow where as Big Savage Tunnel does have lights in, but being this late in the season I don't know if they will be on or even if the tunnel will be open.

So until my next entry everybody Take Care and as always God Bless

Bye for now Hope to see you on the trail

  • Well we did that fall foliage festivals, We  finished up at the last of them on Sunday, and there were quite a few of them, but all in all we had a great time going to them, the furthers one we went to was in Bedford County Pennsylvania, but of course that is a four-day festival covering two weekends in October, we went to the first weekend that we just went to this week on Saturday,  which wasn't too bad and I have to say it is one huge festival, now at the end of September here were I live at in Ebensburg Pennsylvania, we have what is called the Potato Fest and this year it was huge, anybody not having a good time at this particular festival it was their own fault, and like all festivals they had food like you would not believe everything was so delicious and so entertaining they had entertainment on every street corner and was really really a very nice enjoyable festival.

I have been noticing today especially that this political presidential race is really starting to get dirty, the Republicans have a vice president who will not go back to her own home state and face a criminal investigation of wrong doing as governor do we really want someone as possibly of criminal being our Vice President, in my opinion it is typically a Republican ploy they think that they are above the law, just like this last administration, no wonder our country is in such deplorable condition, and unfortunately I don't see it getting any better, and if you're not scared now believe me in weeks to come you will be, it seems like our whole economy is collapsing down around our ears, and everybody better hope that their vehicles and homes holdout because there is no money to go out and get another one, this is a very severe economical problem we have, No credit to the small businessman how is he supposed to keep his business afloat if he can not get credit including credit to pay his employees, it's like I've been saying for years now at least eight years that is that the only way people pay attention to anything is getting hit in their wallet, it just seems to me that these so-called smart people don't got a clue on what going on around them, and some of the money these people make is really unreal, how can anybody take a $24 million bonus plus a $46 million retirement, I guess there really is coming true there are two classes of people in the United States the rich and the poor. So people whenever you go to vote for president Think  about what the last eight years have been like, a cut of Medicare and Medicaid, more money coming out of people's pockets for medicine and medical care, higher prices at the gas pump, higher prices at the grocery store, and now practically no credit being given out from anyone. Yes it is time for a dramatic change, and I hope whoever becomes president can get this country back on its feet,

Well I have said my piece for today, Take Care, God Bless until next time, bye for now

  • We did out daily workout today and then we went over to the Fitness Center to work with the weight training that the center's trainer set up for me, which I really can't lift that much at this time because of the ripped rotor cuff in the left shoulder but what I am trying to do is at least stay where I am at health wise, as far as the treadmill and the cardio bike I have been using the ones that are here in the apartment building even tho I can't use them before 8 am but that is good and at that time in the mooring there is no one there to get in the way not like at the fitness center where we have to get in like for some of the equipment because of the siver sneaker club where the rest of us call them the gray panther's they are the ones who their medical coverage paids there membership not like the rest of us who pay cash each month toward our membership I had to joint for a year so I guess it could be worst with the year commentment it is only about $37.00 a month but if you don't take the commentment it is a monthly charge of $53.00 a month so in a way I am saving money so that isn't too bad,

I talked to my Son today via internet and he said that he is doing well he is stated in Korea and he just made SSG we are so proud of him and now that he is getting older he is seeing for himself that there are no job's in this area so he said that he just may as well stay in the Military for now at least he has a job, and truth be known he would not get the money that he is getting in the Military and the medical coverage either, My Daughter says the same thing also, There are just no Job's in this area and now with everything that is going on we even have some places that are closing down and that makes this area even more depressed

Well Got to go so Take Care and God Bless till next time bye for now

We started putting up the Halloween stuff stuff tonight that way it was have some time for our neighbors to enjoy the display and so that we can enjoy it also agter all of the hard work and money we put into it, Like last year we have to be here when the airblown go up and down and of course the flood lights have to go off about 1/2 hour before I put them down for the night

  • It has been a ruff week for us here in Happyland, On Sunday My Daughter called us and told us that she had to go to the Hospital VIA Ambulances she had internal bleeding and once they got her to the hospital they found the problem real quick and got everything under control thank heavens, Like anything else you got to get into the right hands for everything to get corrected it turns out she had the same trouble I had in May a Bleeding Ulcer which for the both of us required 2 pints of Blood,

I have to say that I really appreciate all of the people who take time out of their busy day to donate Blood for both My daughter and myself It really is The Gift Of Life we both are here because 4 people took the time to save our lives and I want to say publicly God Bless you All and Thank You

God Bless till next time bye for now
